And the Real Reason for the Season Is…

Happy Winter Solstice, Northern Hemisphere! On this darkest day, we anticipate the return of the light. And that is a happy thought.

Nice photo!! did you take it this morning? I wanted to do the same but I let someone borrow my digital. Nothing like the beach in the morning solstice or not.

Thanks! I took it last year.

Ah, Merry Meet! And a Happy Yule to you and all!

(One great thing about being Wiccan-I get to celebrate twice, once for Christmas and once for Yule.)

And a Happy Yule to you, too!

I'm all in favor of lots of celebrations.

Your photo is absolutely beautiful, and looking forward to more sunlight is always worth celebrating, although the Ohio Valley will probably be cloudy and dreary from now until April.

And a happy Solstice to you, Dive.

Thanks, Robyn. I'm glad you like it. It's going to be icky here, too, but I still have hope.
